Comment on A natural resident of Vrindavan by Rajesh.

There’s no controversy about where Radhanath SWami is from regarding his being a Vrajwasi or a Chicagowasi.

Wherever there’s love for Krishna, there’s Vrindavan. Swamiji was born in Chicago, perhaps due to Lords desire to link the East and the west.

American by birth, Indian at heart
American or Indian ?
None… Radhanath Swami is a devotee… and there’s no controversy about that, at least.

While so many of young Indians are aspiring for reaching the western shores in search of material prosperity, Radhanath Swami shows the way by telling us that the money in the west is just pieces of broken glass, while the true diamond is right here.. in India : The diamond of spiritual wealth !

His Holiness Radhanath Swami ki Jai !

Abandoning bodily identifications
What a scintillating story !
Born as Indians, we’ve all heard about the soul and have vague ideas about it. But to an American boy, out on his own, in search of God.
Wasn’t it a big controversy for him? Am I this body or am I the soul within ?
Am I to satisfy the desires of the flesh or am I to look within?

And today, that young boy Richard, who was himself caught in this dilemma, is now teaching the whole world the science of self realization !

His Holiness Radhanath Swami ki Jai !

A voluntary life of poverty
Radhanath Swami pokes deep into this controversy : Whether one should aspire for the big things in life or not ?
Isn’t that the number one question every one in the world is asking? How do I make it big ? How do I make money ? How do I find happiness through the materials of this world.

Swamiji clarifies that in spite of earning lots of money, people are perpetually dissatisfied, while the devotee of the Lord may be poor but is happy and contented.

His Holiness Radhanath Swami ki jai !

A foreigner’s expert disguise
Radhanath Swami has given us such a wonderful account of how his friend H H Bhakti Tirtha Swami got the darshan of Lord Jagannath.
On the one hand, we are told that ALL living beings are children of God, then I’m surprised at this controversy of Indians being allowed to get darshan and foreigners being denied entry into the temple.
Aren’t all of us children of God ?

But as Radhanath Swami has explained, the Lord makes arrangements for his sincere devotees.

Overcoming distractions
This is an eye-opener!!

In India, normally people think that if someone can read your mind or can make a sick man healthy.. or walk on water.. or remain unscathed in fire…etc.. then such a person is GOD!!

Radhanath maharaj clarifies that these powers are a distraction!!
Gosh ! its so true !
These powers are all useless UNLESS they are also used in the service of the Lord.
Radhanath Maharaj ki Jai !!

  36. Usually all of us pray for material things like wealth, good job, nice spouse, etc and we also make deals saying that if we get what we ask for, then we will donate coconuts or feed brahmins, etc. But that is not what we should pray for. We should pray out of love and a sense of gratitude. We should pray for his love and blessings.
