Embracing hope during crisis
Philosophy is there in most wonerful scripture “Bhagawad gita”, but the practical demonstration of that is the personal example of swamiji which makes it more relishable and also conducive to apply in our lives . Where Lord Krishna says , in this material world there are always constant waves of happiness and distress . One gets hope only by diving into the timeless wisdom of Bhagwad gita and inspirations from great souls like swamiji.

Today he was ordered to go to India. Born and raised in the middle class suburbs of Chicago, Radhanath swami grew up in the 1950’s and 60’s era when popular musicians protested war, prejudice and social injustice. Radhanath swami would listen to these songs again and again, but their lyrics referring to God stirred his soul. Peter, Paul and Mary- the folk trio from Greenswich village sang in their debut album

View CommentUsually all of us pray for material things like wealth, good job, nice spouse, etc and we also make deals saying that if we get what we ask for, then we will donate coconuts or feed brahmins, etc. But that is not what we should pray for. We should pray out of love and a sense of gratitude. We should pray for his love and blessings.
