Comment on Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati – A revolutionary guru by Sujit Mehta.

Spiritual practice is very scientific; there are governing laws, cause and effect and so on. It is not something to be practiced when one has reached old age. Radhanath Swamis experiences are brought out so well in “The Journey Home” book and we can understand that if we use are intellectual capabilities rightly then we can seek bonafide guidance for our spiritual life, not merely doing some gymnastic exercises or yoga to keep our bodies fit so that we can enjoy better or getting our greed satisfied.

Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati – A revolutionary guru
Doing some mumbo –jumbo in the name of spiritual practice can lead one to disillusionment, we have know that since time immemorial how bogus sadhus/gurus have brought disrepute to spiritual practices. Radhanath Swamis book unfolds this aspect and guides one in a systematic way for seeking a bonafide guru. Strange as it may sound for all education we generally are careful to assure ourselves of the reputation of the institution and whether it has proper recognition, yet when it comes to matters concerning our soul, we get carried away by some allurement and we put our faith on mere hearsay.

American by birth, Indian at heart
Indians are tossing aside the most valuable diamond of spirituality to pick up the broken pieces of glass of materialism – how true is this observation ,just by taking a look around the way things are going makes one feel compassionate.
Radhanath Swami is relentlessly giving us a true vedic way of life, question is how many takers are there?

  36. Usually all of us pray for material things like wealth, good job, nice spouse, etc and we also make deals saying that if we get what we ask for, then we will donate coconuts or feed brahmins, etc. But that is not what we should pray for. We should pray out of love and a sense of gratitude. We should pray for his love and blessings.
